An Intel researcher, Beverly Harrison, is designing computers that bridge the virtual and real worlds. Harrison feels there is a better way to interact with computers besides, "logging into the box." Read about the projects Harrison is currently working on in this article.
Do you think human-computer interactions, such as the ones described in this article, could become commonplace and part of our daily lives in the future?

Great article. I think the future of human/machine interaction will become even more integrated than this. Check out this TED video about computer mind reading devices- http://www.ted.com/talks/tan_le_a_headset_that_reads_your_brainwaves.html

The ability to interact with a computer simply by thinking about an action will be the way of the future. This could also be the technology that will allow paralyzed patients the ability to walk or control devices without having to move their limbs.

I agree with Andrew. This technology is rapidly being developed and will be in our homes within the next decade. Now the question is, what will Apple call it? i what?

In reading this article, I could not help but be reminded of the Disney Original Movie ‘Smart House (1999),’ which features a house that is a completely interactive computer system. It appears based upon this article that this movie may actually one day become a reality…
