Blogging Guidelines
- Have an interesting title. Example: "Feel Free to Share"
- Begin your post with an attention grabbing hook.
- Tell a story, have an opinion and defend it. Example: "Communication Revolution"
- Enrich your posts with relevant images and links. Example "Testing the Limits of Co-creation"
- Follow good etiquette by responding to comments.
- We recommended that you type your posts directly into blogger.
- If you copy from Word your post will not submit correctly. Please copy into Notepad or your other favorite text editor and then paste that text into the blog.
- Always capitalize the first and the last word.
- Capitalize all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and subordinate conjunctions ("as", "because", "although").
- Lowercase all articles, coordinate conjunctions ("and", "or", "nor"), and prepositions regardless of length, when they are other than the first or last word. (Note: NIVA prefers to capitalize prepositions of five characters or more ("after", "among", "between").)
- Lowercase the "to" in an infinitive.
- If your post is long, please use paragraphs to organize your thoughts.
- Please insert a blank line between paragraphs.
- Hyperlinks can be used to enrich your post
- Examples include links to source documents, other blogs, websites, etc
- To insert a link, please use the link creator button in the text editor instead of pasting URLs into your post.
- Posts should be no longer than 30 lines (500 words).
- If your posts are longer than 30 lines, create a summary that links to the full post as shown below:
