Community Beer!

This would happen first in Wisconsin. A new brewery with ingredients coming from the surrounding community right here in Madison. Subscribing to be a community supported beer member (CSB) comes at a cost but will be well worth the money. What a beautiful innovation! Check out the article here

Super interesting article - there's a good chance that a CSA will actually have a drop location at the new Union South within the next couple of years. Maybe (if we're lucky) there'll eventually be a CSB drop there too!

I think this is a really great idea and works well in the microbrew market as customers are very particular about their tastes. I think it also has a lot of potential to get people brewing less traditional and more creative beer recipes. Yea Wisconsin!

I think small businesses such as this one will be thriving in the near future. Consumers are moving farther away from industrialized and mass merchandised products, especially when it comes to food and drink. Even though the price sounds outrageous, the increased knowledge about the product and satisfaction of supporting local citizens will go along way to push the beer. You probably won't see me putting down my BudLight anytime soon though..

I concur with Lacey. Locally-sourced food and drink appears to be an increasing trend. Of course, those of us who live in Madison may be more likely to see such a trend than folks living in less progressive cities.
