Prezi.com

In my internship last summer I was asked to use a new form of technology to put together a presentation for the marketing team. I am, as I’m sure everyone else is, accustomed to power point so I was a bit leery. After a few hours on prezi.com, however, I found that I really liked the presentation style. A Prezi is an image based story board approach to presenting information. It is supposed to be more digestible for the audience and easier to map out ideas for the creator. PowerPoint is so ingrained in how we present that I think branching out to new ways of presenting information is incredibly innovative and worth a look. I highly recommend prezi.com.

I will definitely have to check this out. It will be interesting to see if in academic and professional settings platforms other than PowerPoint will be embraced, because it has become so engrained in how we view presentations.

This is a great program! Our business school actually puts on workshops for students to learn how to use this program for anybody that is interested!

Thanks for introducing this tool to our community. I enjoyed the presentation your group did using this technology. I am looking forward to trying it myself.

This is so cool. I'm very excited to try it out, and to see how further improvements are made upon it in the future. Finally a better a great alternative to PowerPoint!

Even though it will most likely have trouble competing with PowerPoint due to Microsoft's hold on the consumer market, its good to know that somebody is willing to compete and hopefully create something that is more exciting to watch than the infamous while slide/black bullet presentation!

I had never seen this program before until your presentation. It reminds me of those fast talking Ford commercials where words are popping up left and right.

I've noticed alot of people using this program for presentations lately. It's a fun alternative to PowerPoint, but I think it does have its limits. For example, a financial presentation with many charts and graphs may look cluttered and take away from the modern look of this program.

I just learned of this program a couple days ago and I believe that this is a more exciting and engaging way to present information. In addition, because the audience will be more engaged they are more likely to retain the information that a presenter is conveying. I look forward to trying to learn how to use this new presenting tool.

I too had never heard of Prezi before our recent class presentations. I think that the program provides a great alternative to the go-to PowerPoint presentation. I noticed that I was immediately more interested in the presentations that used Prezi because it was something different from every other class presentation I had seen. It did seem that offers less font and text displays options, however I am sure these feature will grow as the site's popularity does.
