Imagine how many trees are cut down and sold to be decorated in living rooms across America every Christmas season. I recently saw a story on the news where companies across America are making it possible to buy a potted Christmas tree that can be picked up and replanted after the holiday. I can't think of anything better than helping the environment and not having dead pine needles all over the living room. Check out the short video on this "growing" trend.

This is an excellent idea! I am surprised that more of us don't do this sort of thing. Gives "recycling" a new definition!

I was really surprised to know that people are cutting down trees to be decorated during the Christmas seasons in the state (because it is illegal in my country..)

Finally, there is a way to give people a sense to protect the environment!

The cutting down of christmas trees every december is an incredibly wasteful practice. It's interesting though, because up to this point there has been very little environmental protest over this issue. This just proves that innovation can be extremely beneficial even in changing well established traditions.
