Acura adds 2D barcodes to its advertisements. This is an innovative way to trace which locations the ads are most effective! Do you think more companies should utilize this method in their marketing campaigns?

I think it's a good start but a very biased way of getting information. First, the only consumers who will use the barcodes are consumers who currently have phones capable of scanning. In general, I would assume this is a younger and higher class consumer. Also, the consumers who take the time to scan the ad are most likely already interested in the product, therefore they might not be the consumers Acura would like to target. It's interesting to think about though, thanks for the article!!
To be honest, I don't know much about @2D barcodes but they sound intriguing. Lacey raises some good points about the likely uses of these barcodes. Supposedly, Starbucks is experimenting with using these codes as a payment mechanism.
